Mik Red's film "The Threshold" is selected as an official entry in the 2007 International Film Festival in Hannover, Germany

Director's Notes

Seeking the Threshold, the Wanderer, endures a dark journey through the unknown and into the limits of the human mind.

The film is an expression of my buried thoughts, feelings, emotions, and fears. It shows the many challenges and obstacles one must face and defeat in order to reach the pinnacle of one's own satisfaction, freedom, happiness, and glory. Making the film itself was a challenge that me, the crew and the cast had to overcome, and eventually, through our perseverance, we did!

The crew was wonderful! Everyone worked hard and made the film the best that it can be. The cast was superb! Most of the cast were even crew members who wanted to help even more! Even though we had a bumpy start during the shoot when the originally planned location was suddenly unavailable at the last minute, I thank the cast and crew for making the most out of our fifteen hour shoot, using only two blank walls in my grandparent's house as our location.

I want to thank everyone who supported the film even more because of The Threshold's recent nomination for the 2007 up-and-coming International Film Festival in Hannover, Germany. Thank you for all the work and effort put into making this film!

May the storytelling medium of Filmmaking continue to engross more individuals through the help of the education in MDAFI.
