MDAFI Officially Starts Shooting IKAW ANG PAG-IBIG
Date Posted: 2010-03-06

The MARILOU DIAZ-ABAYA FILM INSTITUTE AND ARTS CENTER is in production of the feature film “IKAW ANG PAG-IBIG”!

We started shooting “IKAW ANG PAG-IBIG“ last Wednesday, March 3, 2010.

What a thrill for MDAFI instructors and their students to be working side by side  -   from the classroom and studio to the living set! Director Marilou Diaz-Abaya even has her own son (and her former Ateneo student) Dave Abaya as Director of Photography.

That’s really the biggest advantage of enrolling in MDAFI. Our super trained and disciplined students get to observe and intern, up close and professional, their teachers practicing what they preach. We have 29 shooting days to go, followed by four months of post prod. All hands are on deck in a brand new ship   -   the RED CAM!

“IKAW ANG PAG-IBIG” is a love story written and directed by Direk Marilou, produced by Tony Gloria of Unitel and Optima for the Archdiocese of Caceres to celebrate the Tri-centennial of the devotion to the Virgin of Penafrancia. The casting coup includes Judy Ann Santos, Ryan Agoncillo, Christopher de Leon, Vivian Velez, Nonie and Shamaine Buencamino, and child actor Jogo Singh.
