Christian Vallez
Christian graduated from the University of Asia and the Pacific in 2004 with the degree of Master of Science in Information Technology under the scholarship from the Go Kim Pah Foundation. He has been active in the university theater scene and has written and directed several plays in Filipino and English. He was the recipient of the Kultura Award 2000 for his contributions to the arts program of the university. In 2003, He won 2nd place at the Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature for his one-act play entitled “Twenty Questions.” Chris was also featured in Randy David and Jaime Zobel’s book “Silence” which was published by the Ayala Foundation. His works were anthologized in three local collections of poetry and was also included in “Megalopolis,” a production of Theater-der-Klaenge in Dusseldorf, Germany. Chris teaches scriptwriting and production at the Marilou Diaz-Abaya Film Institute, and Multimedia Arts at the University of Asia and the Pacific. Currently, he is starting ASTIG (Alagad ng Sining, Talino, Imahinasyon, at Galing), a theater foundation dedicated to bringing the arts to the Filipino masses. EDUCATION - MSIT,UA&P (2004)
